I and my mom had soba kaiseki lunch @Tsuchiya in Higashi Murayama city. We wanted to celebrate our big effort for the all title change transaction.

This place is a cozy restaurant located in local town which I grew up.

I had Buckwheat noodle with dipping sauce cooking class @Akiyama Wellness Center. I you make dipping sauce from scratch, it is very handy, tasty and  healthy! Menu is soba noodle, dipping sauce, onion tempura with dried shrimp. Dried shrimp is a good resource for calcium, and add crispy texture too.

In Japan we eat year-crossing noodle on the new years eve. This is the custom to wish long healthy life like soba noodle.

I make year-crossing noodle every year.

I had a Japanese noodle class today per one of the student request.  Because she wanted to learn how to make Japanese noodle/Zaru soba. Today’s menu is – Concentrated soup stock – Japanese noodle/Zaru soba – Vegetable & dried shrimp tempura – Okara cookies

Today I had the first hands-on cooking class @Shirakawa community center. I was told only 3 people signed up but actually I had 8~10 people showed up total. I did hands-on class for two people first, then more people joined later. I did another hands-on class for second round. I made Buckwheat Noodle Salad today.
