08 Vegetable Garden in New Look

I already posted that I built new bigger plot with raising beds and water system but I needed to give up.

2012/04/01 Giving up new plot, disappointing….

Now I broke down new plot, re-built and move all plant to old plot. It took me for one whole week. I already got wood boards for double size plot, and I did not want to waste wood boards, so I raised bed so high.

I harvested komatsuna from vegetable garden and made komatsuna chanbru/this is the special dish in Okinawa, Japan. Very balanced and healthy dish/komatsuna, tofu, shiitake mushroom, egg, bonito flakes stir-fried. This is stir-fried burdock and carrot which is traditional Japanese vegetable dish.

I harvested spring vegetables from my garden. Turnip, Butter Lettuce, Komatsuna Turnip is a same type of root vegetable with daikon. White round root and leaf both edible. I made turnip miso soup with homemade miso paste.
