I had a cooking demo at Shirakawa Community Center today and I cooked Simmered Japanese Pumpkin. I had demo class in the lunch room and everyone could join. I had more than 40 people for my class. I brought 2 3lb Japanese pumpkins and I cooked all of them, they were gone in just few minutes!
Most of the people did not know Japanese pumpkin, looks like everyone was watching demo in great interest. Also many people did not see Japanese seasonings, I had a lots of questions. Especially one lady was so impressed by the adjustable drop lid.
