Red shiso is growing pretty well in my organic vegetable garden now.
I already used for pickled plum in July and posted here.
Boiling red shiso
Strain in a colander, add sugar.
When vinegar added, the juice turned to bright purple color!
Red shiso juice, sweet & sour and very refreshing
Chop red shiso leaf in the colander, season with mirin & soy sauce and add dried anchovies, and simmer.
Add sansho spice.
Chirimen sansho, I can use it for rice ball filling and pizza topping too!
