2018/08/26 Vegetables from garden

Of course vegetables grow different every year due to weather & other factors.

This year, vegetables grow so well especially tomatoes & Japanese pumpkins.

Besides these vegetables below,

2018/08/18 The Art of Sushi Class

I taught The Art of Sushi class to who love real food from scratch. Fortunately I harvested all vegetables from garden this morning such as shiso, Japanese cucumber, turnips, fudansou, green onion, they are super fresh.

They are young couple and husband grew up home made healthy foods, so he knows real foods taste.

Especially they enjoyed fresh sashimi & Japanese cucumber which is crunchy & tasty.

He asked me “what you are eating everyday?”, then I think about what I am eating and answered “Most likely I am eating vegetables from my garden everyday, because I grew so many vegetables in my garden.”

I grow variety of tomatoes, shiso leaf/green & red, chayote, Japanese pumpkin, rhubarb, turnip, mizuna, okura, banana pepper, green pepper, trefoil, green onion, eggplant Gretel, Japanese eggplant, fudansou, black soy bean, stalk broccoli, Japanese bell pepper. Harvested last weekends.

2016/08/27 Vegetables from garden

I harvested tomatoes, Japanese cucumbers, Japanese bell pepper, Cabbage from garden.

I seeded about 10 different kind of tomatoes this year. All grew so well and overflowing now.

I like Wild Bore tomato flavor, so I seeded them a lot. We visited The Wild Bore Firm and tasted tomatoes and purchased which we like, kept seed and grew them every year.

I made tomato soup with only tomato & salt koji. Very simple but so tasty!

I harvested rhubarb from balcony & purchased some from store, cooked with sugar to paste.

I made Rhubarb paste and dehydrated to jello sheet.

Picked some figs from garden and dehydrated to dried figs.

2013/05/13 Spring Vegetable Garden

Now spring vegetable garden looks like this. Finally vegetables started growing for one month.

2013/04/26 Spring Vegetable Garden

I seeded tomatoes and eggplant in balcony, but they did not grow well since balcony does not have enough sunshine.

So I decided to plant in the garden when they still small.

2011/08/12 Yellow Tail & Vegetables from Organic Garden

My husband’s friend gave us super fresh yellow tail which her husband got fishing.

I harvested black soy bean, Japanese cucumber, Japanese pumpkin, eggplant, belle pepper, butter lettuce, Mizuna leaf, Morocco bean and green onion from vegetable garden.

Just boiled fresh black soy beans, very sweet and crunchy.

I harvested chives from garden and will use for dumpling party on 7/30 @Deborah’s palm.

Contains dietary fiber, carotene,  vitamin B1, B2, C, calcium, iron. Very powerful vegetable!
